TD = Transmission Distance, HueForge's measure of how translucent a filament is (higher = more translucent); many filament makers publish it. How much each layer hides is then estimated from HueForge's renderer curve for that TD, the same in red, green and blue: a rough model, not a measurement. Measuring with a coupon (below) is better.

Fix by hand

Cut area: click the backdrop; the connected area of similar color around the click is cut away. Keep, Remove, Black out: click to add points, double-click (or Enter) to close the shape, Esc to cancel. Drag a point to move it.

Optional, but worth it before a long print: print a small window of the picture at full size (usually a face) to try your filaments and slicer settings and judge detail and texture, in minutes instead of hours. Drag the window on the picture.
